Project objectives:
The study involved the construction of a comprehensive framework for passenger and freight mobility demand on the provincial road network. This was based on the collection and systematization of primary and secondary data, including 80 traffic survey stations, and an estimation of demand using a four-stage modeling approach. A macroscopic traffic model was developed to highlight critical axes and nodes in the network, enabling the Provincial Administration to plan necessary interventions and assign priority levels to each. Additionally, specific analyses on safety and accidents on the network were conducted.
Output:
- Report on the results of preliminary analysis and investigation.
- Performance analysis of existing transportation systems.
- Analysis of large-scale mobility demand.
- Supply, demand, and demand-supply interaction models.
- Modeling of project scenarios.
- Analysis of safety and accidents on the network.
