Project objectives:

The project relates to the definition of the master plan of a specific part of the Aquaba Gulf coastline in which a valuable residential area is planned to be developed. For the mobility component, it is required to define a strategy that includes the design of infrastructure and transportation services made available to people or used for logistics. The deliverables must describe the hierarchy and characteristics of the road network, types of services, and the means used for short-medium-long distance travel by road, sea, and air. The proposal must be supported by an estimate of the anticipated Mobility demand, ensuring efficiency, resilience and flexibility.

Output:

• Master Plan of the study area.
• Estimates of mobility demand (passenger and freight) for all the different transportation services serving local/regional travel.
• Road network and mobility infrastructure (characterization, point locations, sizing).
• Detailed definition of proposed infrastructure and services.
• Performance analysis and sensitivity testing.
• Modeling analyses.
